Truman & Macil 65th Wedding Anniversary

  1. Wow.

Dad, this is a wonderful and moving tribute to your parents--you chose the perfect poignant song. These pictures are almost perfect: the WWII uniform photograph, Macil and Truman on the motorcycle (I love that one--I'd never seen it before--Grandmother, I love your hair carefully wrapped under the scarf), Kathryn asleep in Granddaddy's arms, Allen being taken for a ride in the bike basket . . . I say they are almost perfect, because I don't think any photograph could capture just how hardworking, how frugal and patient, how wise and faithful your parents have always been. I hope you know, Grandmother and Grannddaddy, that you have truly influenced your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for good. What a wonderful legacy to celebrate after sixty-five years of marriage! We love you!

Dad, keep 'em coming! This is absolutely wonderful!

  2. I think my favorite part about this is that Grandmother and Grandaddy always look so in love. In many of the pictures Grandaddy is looking at Grandmother rather than the camera. I can only hope that Brandon and I can be as good of an example of a happy marraige as Grandmother and Grandaddy have been.

  3. Becca said "how hardworking, how frugal and patient, how wise and faithful" grandmother and granddad are, but she forgot to say that they are the nicest, kindest people you will ever meet. In the 13 years I have known them I have never heard a mean word from either of them, and I have never seen either of them mad. Wish I could say the same for myself.

  4. I'm crying.

Wow, I come from really good stock. I hope that I can live up.

Dad, thanks for putting that together.
